This past Thursday, Alexandra Partouche, Donna Winkler and I had the opportunity to help in different activities during the fundraising luncheon for Pace Center for Girls in Miami held in Miami Beach.
This organization helps young girls and teenagers to overcome struggles, make positive decisions and lifestyle choices, so they can better navigate life...real life...working on self-esteem, conflict resolution, personal grooming and relationship building. At the same time, Pace Center for Girls prepares them to find the right career, through field trips andskills training, so they can start preparing for a lifetime of success.
We were very glad to be part of thissuccessful event where their fundraising main goals were achieved.

Volunteering enables an individual to make a positive impact on their community while empowering the individual to better their life. On Saturday October 26th, Donna, Yunisleidy, Yeslyn, Mariela, and I had the opportunity to do just that at the Lotus House event whose theme was “A day of women joining hands to uplift women in need.” There are no words to express or describe how great it feels to help others and to give just a little bit your time knowing that you will impact an individual for years to come.
At 9:00 am on Saturday we headed off to the Lotus House event with all of our toiletry donations from our team members. A big shout out to all the team members who donated and especially a big shout to Jessica Williams, who donated boxes and boxes of shampoo and conditioner for the Lotus House ladies' welcome bag.
This past weekend I hosted my 3rd Annual Ella's Day pampering event for cancer survivors. The turnout was amazing!!I want to send a special thank you to my FOH®Team Members who took time out of their busy schedules to volunteer and assist in making this event the success it was. We had a packed house and successfully provided free pampering services, food, goodies, and entertainment to over 150 cancer survivors.
This past Friday, the winners of the "What Does From Our Hearts Mean To You" contest attended the 30th Anniversary of Habitat for Humanity at Top Golf. Founded in 1989 by a group of volunteers who saw a real community need the, Miami Habitat currently builds around 35 houses per year for low-income families.
The team is grateful to be able to represent FOH® and From Our Hearts and for the opportunity to participate in such a fun event. Everyone had an amazing time while helping out a great organization!

It was late Saturday night when I received an email followed by a text message Sunday morning saying that I had been accepted to become part of the second volunteer mission cruise to Freeport, Grand Bahama. If I was to go, I needed to confirm immediately and show up at The Port of West Palm Beach between 2 and 4 PM that day.
